
Curious as to who exactly is Conquering
Chaos?


Jill Grzankowski is originally from Buffalo, NY, and her
background includes French and Spanish translation, computer
technical support, and project management. She founded Conquering Chaos in March of 2004 in Northern Virginia and relocated the business to the metro Denver area in March of 2006. Conquering Chaos is a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers as well as the NAPO Colorado Chapter. Jill has appeared in several publications talking about the benefits of organizing and has also given numerous presentations and speeches.

Below are previous employment descriptions, starting with most recent:
IT Administrator: performed network administration, established and maintained backup system, troubleshot hardware and software problems, configured email and FTP accounts, and researched, purchased and installed new hardware and software
Project Manager: responsible for the successful completion of translation and localization projects, involving quote generation, file preparation, personnel research and management, desktop publishing, quality assurance reviews, invoicing and billing; also researched new marketing strategies and opportunities, maintained company website, and designed PowerPoint presentations, e-newsletters and brochures, posted job openings, reviewed applicants, interviewed and trained incoming project management staff, trained employees on various computer skills, reviewed proposals, enhanced and organized electronic and paper file systems, and created new forms for smoother processes
Executive Assistant: provided administrative assistance including travel arrangements, expense reports, meeting scheduling and document creation for the Strategy and Business Development team of a large international defense contractor; coordinated international participation in major military trade shows in the DC area, including organization of exhibit space and hospitality suite, meeting schedules, equipment rental, billing, catering, and banquet planning; maintained files in conjunction with ISO 9001 standards
Software Support and Training Specialist: provided technical support on all products through email and phone calls, provided training on all products on a variety of levels, beta tested new products, submitted bug and enhancement requests to development team and tracked the progress of the requests; contributed to support resources through the creation of knowledgebase articles, training documentation and procedure outlines; organized and streamlined process of replacing faulty dongles (software keys)
